Ok, so blogging posts have been put on hold as I have no internet access at the moment....im illegally using the library services regardless of the fact I am no longer a student! This is because I have officially moved out student-ville fallowfield, leaving the streets littered with empty pizza boxes and and cider bottles that I know oh so well for the bright city lights of Deansgate..and when I mean Deansgate I mean the run down backstreets behind it as I was too poor to afford aq flat on the strip...nevertheless I am living the city life which i great apart form the very noisy railroad behind my building!! But as mentioned, internet is unvailable thus posts are few and far between. However, I take this very rare internet access visit to post about my new favourite accessory..the bowler hat. Yes it has been around for awhile, and mainly rocked last season but I feel I am going to bring it back for Summer 2011...why? because I love it. Its a great classic look, that immediately adds classy edge to any outfit. I love wearing them with leggings or black jeans, and middle parted hair, but ive decided im going to rock it at Latitude fest next week with shorts and worn out denim...not sure how its going to go, but I will of course post pictures of my latest fashion experiment!
If anyone is interested this is my hat of choice from Asos, good value at only £20!
backs soon blogging beauts with Latitude updates!

Vintage Shops
Exams are over and the degree is done! life resumes itself, as does my contribution to the blogging world. Currently im enjoying freedom, teetering around Manchester lunching, shopping, lounging in parks on rare sunny days...at least that was what I was doing until I ran out of money...
Soooo before the funds ran out, I was enjoying a sweet life roaming city centre streets enjoying the odd latte here and there. As always one of my favourite activites is sticking my nose into the numerous rails and racks of the many vintage shops in the city and beyond, so I thought I would post my favourite finds.
One of my favourite places at the moment is Blue Rinse on Oldham Street. Their flagship is in Leeds, and they have exapnded to Manchester only late last year. However, they have brought a fantastic selection of clothes with them. I think their items really catch on to the specific street style of the Northern citites. I bought a few things t-shirts on my last trip, but really it was my housey Aimie that made an absolute star find with this great maroon cropped tie waist with cut off sleeves. Ive seen them loads on the high street at the moment, but I think this has that true vintage feel that just cannot be replicated on masse...she really made the whole outfit work with by pairing it with the summer essential denim cut offs, a giant locket and some DM's, she looked so great just had to post! I had to get her to stand on my dressing table stool as her DM's blended into the dark carpet, but hopefully the photo shows how all of the elements come together. a good example of that specific Mancunion street style.

New Year. New Problems. New Tea...
Ah and yet we enter into another year. Whilst many think of the wonderful joys and opportunities of the new year , I simply think of revision. Now that the wonderful, consumerist, alcoholic flurry that is christmas and new year is now well truely over, (the christmas decorations were sadly taken down yesterday, bundled up and shoved back into the mysterious recesses of my family attic) i can no longer manipulate my brain out of doing revision....
Progress has been somewhat, unsurprisingly slow..now that I am well acustomed to my procastination habits...
As I am not back at Uni yet, i spend my days patheticlly pottering around my parents house in my PJ's...poking my head at regular intervals into the fridge and cupboards and munching and random bits of food. It is also during revision time that my caffeine addiction becomes particularly alarming. Whilst usually I would have about 3-4 cups a day..I am now finding that around 6-7 are barely enough to satiate. This over-consumption then leads to hyperactivity, giddyness and then painful caffeine withdrawl headaches first thing in the morning. Realising that this is not good for my health I have made a brave and difficult switch to green tea! it is caffeine free, speeds up your metabolism, is high in anti-oxidants and gives you that same warm fuzzy feeling inside..the only trouble is it kind of tastes like crap...
Im currently drinking the Tetly kind, with an added lemon kick...
